At Computerwiz, we believe in promoting the highest and best re-use of computer and electronic equipment, while also recycling unusable items. Our goal is to ensure that we do not need to throw away electronics that can still be useful to someone else in the community.

More than 62% of all computers, laptops, monitors, and flat panels that we receive are re-used with some repair and refurbishment. We strive to fix and refurbish all non-working laptops for re-use. Any older laptops and parts that cannot be reused are environmentally recycled.

We also offer recycling solutions for a range of electronics, including computers, laptops, e-waste, and other electronic devices. Scrap computers and parts are reduced to recyclable metal, plastic, P.C.Board, and cable. We take pride in our green environmental practices.

We strongly encourage everyone to recycle their used electronics. It is illegal to dispose of electronics in dumpsters and garbage cans. We are committed to protecting the environment and ensuring that all electronics are recycled safely and responsibly.

At Computerwiz, we also offer hard drive data destruction services. We suggest that you wipe your hard drive before donating or recycling your computer. If we reuse your hard drive, we use disk wipe software to overwrite the HDD and install a new operating system. We shred all other hard drives for metal recycling.

We accept donations of laptops, whether they are working or not. We believe that used computers and electronics still have value to people who cannot afford new ones.
